It has been painted with automotive paints to give it a far more durable finish and less likely to chip if bumped into something
This IS a fully finished helmet! That means all the parts and pieces have already been applied (we do all the sanding, gluing, and messy stuff) and it is fully painted and ready to wear (aside from having to add padding for your desired fit).
