R1 IGC Imperial Ground Crew armor kit
from $300.00
Options:
Our current lead time is 8 to 12 weeks MINIMUM for a basic kit and currently around 1 year for finish work. Finish work will speed up soon as we are hiring new help and we'll be able to drop the longer lead time and reopen orders for new built armor.
Please note:
We have not had time to assemble our helmet to 501st spec as of yet. The armor meets requirements(it's the same used as the CRL except for the side wings). Refer to the film and display mannequin pictures for the side connectors as the CRL has an incorrect version pictured. The CRL is very detailed and lists the individual parts needed to finish out the helmet. We are only providing the shells(the hard part!) at this time. Tutorials are on the way soon, too. Watch us on twitch.tv/850armorworks The armor is made from 2mm ABS plastic. We provide rubber straps and resin details as well. Please note the parts list provided. Sharp corners almost always crack and are a weak point for formed ABS plastic. Please note in the photos as examples of how the kit can arrive. This is not a defect. It is easily repaired by aligning the pieces, covering the exterior with chrome tape, spritz super glue accelerator on the inside of the corner, run thick super glue in the corner, spritz again, let cure, remove tape, sand corner. It's now strong and reinforced. The back is done in two pieces because of the sharp corners and undercuts. It overlap assembles easily and the seam can be filled with body filler before painting. A fair amount of EVA foam is involved in the build as well.
Formed parts:
Inner chest
Outer chest
Back top
Back bottom
Slotted side wings x2
Sloped side wings, left and right
Rubber Shoulder Straps
Resin Pieces:
Side buckles x2
Chest circle spike
3D Printed Pieces:
Right Side chest top and bottom
Left side chest pyramid
There will be some details you need to source on your own. These are common and readily available hardware and hobby items. Have fun and happy building!
